Fish of Hawaii

This page is dedicated to our granddaughters, Avery & Taylor.  Avery, the older one, thinks it would be cool to become a marine biologist when she grows up. We think that's fantastic and will encourage her all the way! But, whatever she decides to do in her life, we will support her 100+ percent.

Below are many images of fish we saw while snorkeling in various spots on the islands we visited.  I have done my best to identify these fish, but I am not an expert. I'm a plant ecologist. Anyone looking to my names as a means to identify fish should be more vigilant and check with other more reliable sources.
